Define your checklist first
Choose the card language and release. Decide whether you want numbered cards only, reverse-holo variants, special variants, promos and stamped cards. Collectors use “master set” differently, so write down your own inclusion rules. Count each variant you want as a separate slot.
Calculate the page count
The simulator reads the 151 cards and variants available in the English catalogue. Choose your rarities and finishes: the slot count and page layout update together. Variants placed after the base cards start on a new page, just as they do when you create a master set. Two page sides make one double-sided sheet.
Keep variants together
You can place each regular card beside its reverse version, or put variants in a separate section. Pairing makes missing variants obvious but may split an evolution line across pages. Separate sections keep numbered order simpler. Plan page breaks before moving every card.
Leave room for artwork and future additions
Add the number of background inserts and deliberate blank slots to your checklist total before calculating capacity. If you reserve one nine-pocket side for a title page, add nine slots. Keep promos in their own section when you expect the checklist to grow.
Preview the collection
Use the catalogue to check the specific release and the binder editor to arrange pages. Review the first and last cards on each page, then compare your finished plan with your checklist. A digital layout helps with placement; it does not replace checking physical binder capacity.
